New Hardware in Project Tetanus Shot

With a record setting cold winter behind us comes a move to the car's new and current location, Joe's Garage and a new engine.

With the old hardware out the new goes in. With beefing up under the front side of the frame and new suspension components the car levels out for a nice stance when its on the ground. The backend, i.e. Ford 9inch for beefy burnouts, is for the tail end of the build - pun intended. The front suspension was hard to convert to newer pieces. The older suspension pieces, however, are stronger so only freshening and rebuilding was needed to help support the added weight of the Diesel.

The front cross member has been notched and boxed in, with traingle braces to be added later. Plates with insulation packed behind add as support for the body and reduce noise and heat from the engine bay. The plates are riveted into place and helped by the roll bar like brace support running to the frame. Below the brace is where the frame has been boxed. Check out where the exhaust will exit the front fenders.
